Catch Up

Again… I’m behind on blogging, posting photos, etc. Eh… get over it :) I’m back now with more! :)

I’ve mostly got photos and a few little stories to go with it all. I’ve been really trying to keep up with my December Daily album for this year… there’s nothing really to show you all just yet but I’ll get there… I promise. Mainly, I’ve just been taking photos and getting them ready to have a whole batch printed at once… and also going ahead and writing down what I want to say for each day because well, if I don’t write it down now then I’ll surely forget it. I am hoping to get the first batch of photos printed one day this week… then hopefully I’ll have some finished pages to show you all here. Hang in there!

Let’s see… what else have we been up to?

Ummm… well, we gave up on trying to put both girls in the same bedroom… Sarah’s crib got moved back into the original nursery last night and we’ll be working on getting the rest of the room set up in the next several days or so. Nora’s room will need a bit of re-arranging due to the extra space that is there now… I think it’ll probably be filled with toys before we realize it. Maybe once I can get the rooms straightened out I’ll share a few photos of the outcome.

Last week we went out to the mall and met up with Julie, Phyllis and the boys. Nora and Aydan got to play in the little play area in the food court and they had a blast!! Nora isn’t so used to playing with other kids so I was a little worried about how it would go, but turns out she did great and she had a wonderful time! Tomorrow I’m taking Nora up to the library for toddler story time where we are going to meet up with Julie and Aydan again. It’ll be lots of fun!

That was QUICK!

I got home late last night after a 13 hour day at work (Whew!) and checked the mailbox… along with bills and other non-fun stuff was my package from everyjotandtittle (that album I ordered on Etsy a few days ago)! Super excited! I was thinking about it yesterday and remembered that it was only being sent from a place in Tennessee, just a few hours away… so I didn’t figure it would take long. It was a nice fun surprise to come home to though. I LOVE getting fun mail!

So… here’s a picture of the contents – a little sneak peak if you will.  I’m planning on posting photos of the album in progress – hopefully that will keep be going on it in a timely manner. :)
christmas_album_kitThe only thing that would have made this mini kit better, is if it had an instruction sheet or example photos of the completed album.  Of course, this way each and every album will be 100% unique (OK maybe just 90% since the supplies are all basically the same).  It’s going to turn out great anyway – I can just feel it.

And here… I’ve gone ahead and arranged the pages in the order that I want them. I basically just laid them all out and then moved a few pages around so that not all of the similar pages were together. Pretty much… I mixed up the greens, reds, browns & white then stuck the specialty papers randomly in there so that there was a good variety.

It’s now ready to begin embellishing then it will be ready to fill up with photos and journaling once December rolls around. :) Yeah!

Yes… another new project

(when I haven’t finished the others that I have already started – oops)

So I was browsing through all the pretty stuff on Etsy last night and came across a really awesome mini album kit that I just had to buy.  It’s a Christmas/Holiday themed album and perfect for this year’s December Daily.  Last year was the first time I attempted to do a December Daily album – it turned out OK.  Last December was quite hectic and very interesting.  Needless to say, my album for last year wasn’t perfect… but it got the point across.

Once I saw this kit I just had to get it.  I predict a pretty full December again this year – but I think there will be a few more exciting things going on that I can document as well.  Having the kit will allow me to go ahead and get the blank album put together and save me some time during the month of December trying to put it all together.  Plus, the kit also means that I don’t have to go to the store and try to gather supplies to build the album either :)   Yeah!

So yeah… isn’t is just awesome? I got it from Etsy seller everyjotandtittle.  It includes way too much stuff to list individually here… but basically a total of 31 pages (vintage and new), patterned and plain cardboard pieces for the covers, book rings, stickers, tags, ribbon, string, and several other embellishments.  There are several page sizes ranging from 4″x6″ to 6″x8″.  I can’t wait till this comes in the mail so that I can check it out in person and start assembling it.  The trick this year will be for me to actually remember to take photos and make journaling notes for myself… then once the month is over I can add photos and journaling to the album.

Super excited!!
Oh and for a little bit of torture today… a vendor brought these in to the office today…

Sooooo NOT FAIR!!
